Training Transformation TLE: Training Transformation Solution Architect

PRIMARY OBJECTraining Transformation VES AND FUNCTraining Transformation ONS:

1.The provision of a range of solution architectural services in order to co-ordinate and facilitate the successful implementation of the Technical Institute projects in KSA. The Solution Architect will be responsible for all technical design aspects of the refurbishment and upgrade of the full National Guard Signals School to facilitate the delivery of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). The SA will require to have the experience and knowledge to ensure successful delivery of:

a. Civils works (power/HVAC)
b. Data Centres
c. IP LAN/WAN/WLAN
d. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
e. Latest in Terminal (tablets/laptops/Video Systems) and Presentation Equipments
f. Hosting Services
g. Integration of TEL solutions

2.The SA is the technical lead for the project and shall work closely with the PMs and related subcontractors to ensure the required system designs are produced as per the schedule. He is responsible for ensuring Critical Design Reviews (CDRs) are tabled and completed successfully based on the approval of the Design Authority (DA). During the acceptance and testing, the SA is responsible for: validation of the test documents and coordination of the acceptance testing; for ensuring all deliverables are in-line with the Prime Contractor’s Project Management Guidelines (PMG) and Network Design Requirement (NDRs) and for interfacing with all required departments on technical related matters.


SUMMARY OF DUTraining Transformation ES AND RESPONSIBILITraining Transformation ES:

The Solution Architect is the primary interface to the customer (UK MOD and SANG) for all Training Transformation design and technical assurance activities. The SA has the following primary responsibilities:

1.Advise on the strategy and use of Technology Enhanced Learning within a modern training environment.
2.Ensuring full compliance with NDRs during design and delivery
3.Successful completion of all CDRs and Final Design Reviews (FDRs)
4.Assurance of the design and delivery of the learning central data centre
5.Production and subsequent enforcement of the Training Transformation 2B Security policy which is aligned to existing policies.
6.Liaison between the IP Network Delivery Programme and Training Transformation Programme to meet the needs of Training Transformation
7.Technical networking and virtualisation guidance and support to other Training Transformation related projects including the Training Transformation and the regional Training Transformation s
8.Effective technical service transition into OM&T service operations
9.Provide regular communication on the technical design and development of the system to the SANG, MOD and GPT through proactive presentations and marketing
10.Management of Integration Strategy and activities, working closely with the respective subcontractors, to ensure integration success.
11.Foster and maintain a Close working relationships with the customer based on trust and adaptability

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years experience delivering TEL technical solutions to the MoD.
Knowledge and Experience of IP network delivery including full data centre builds.
Experience of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technology
Proven track record in similar role, working to tight timescales on large multi-element projects, and be able to demonstrate:

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS:

1.The provision of a range of project management services in order to co-ordinate and facilitate the successful implementation of the Technical Institute projects in KSA. 7.Ensuring appropriate internal processes are complied with at all times.

The TI Projects Manager is the primary interface to the customer (UK MOD and SANG) for all TI Equipment and Training business activities, and is responsible for creating through-life, value for money solution proposals and then delivering the projects at minimal risk to the Company. The Project Implementation Manager has the following primary responsibilities:

1.Advise on the strategy and use of Technology Enhanced Learning within a modern training environment.
2.Creating and maintaining accurate plans, reporting on progress and status, and securing appropriate resources required to meet target and other milestones.
3.Ensure the correct implementation and maintenance of the project management plans, covering all aspects of the TI project.
4.Define functional resource requirements against work packages, and secure resource allocation as required.
5.In conjunction with commercial and finance, produce and maintain a high level cost model for the projects, and be pro-active in controlling project finances.
6.Collate and issue progress reports for the projects in line with the agree programme template.
7.Co-ordinate the risk management, quality, health and safety for the projects.
8.Ensuring the project administration is of high quality, accurate and up to date and in accordance with governance processes and procedures.
9.Ensure efficient use of Company resources to deliver Continuous and high level of Customer satisfaction
10.Foster and maintain a Close working relationships with the customer based on trust and adaptability

Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years experience within delivering projects to the MoD.
PMP or Prince 2 qualified with experience in software delivery of benefit
Knowledge and Experience of IP network delivery including full data centre builds.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS:

1.The provision of a range of project management services in order to co-ordinate and facilitate the successful implementation of the Technical Institute projects in KSA. The Project Implementation Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of a large number of interactive digital training courses to the National Guard, through the conversion of existing standard training material in to material suitable to be used within a Technology Enhanced Learning environment.
2.In addition, responsible for the successful delivery of a full learning management system (LMS) which will be used to host the modern interactive digital courseware for use by students and instructors alike.
3.Close interaction with the a wide variety of key stakeholders to ensure delivery success including delivery subcontractors, MOD, National Guard and GPT teams.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION (Knowledge and Experience):

a. Minimum of 5 years experience within delivering projects to the MoD ideally within a training environment.
b. Working knowledge and understanding of Defence Systems Approach to Training Quality Standard (DSAT QS).
c. Agile Project Management, PMP or Prince 2 qualified with extensive experience in software delivery
d. In depth experience of delivering and using Learning Management Systems (LMS);
e. Knowledge and Experience of IP network delivery is of benefit
f. Experience of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technology of benefit
g. Sound knowledge and experience of managing budgets.

The Role:
