Front Office 3G/LTE Engineer

Job Summary
This Job Role is responsible for the coordination, support, management and execution of 1st Level proactive and reactive maintenance activities to ensure that services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels. To adhere Management Instructions and follow Front Office 1st Level Operations Process by Management.


Skills Required:
1. Ericsson 3G/LTE Experience at least 1 year.
2. Ericsson 1st Level Operations/Front Office experience at least 1 year.
3. Ericsson RBS3000/6000 knowledge at least1 year.
4. Ericsson RNC 3810/3820/8200 knowledge at least1 year.
5. Ericsson OSS RC knowledge at least 1 year.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
- To adhere Management Instruction.
- Event Management.
- 1st level Incident Management.
- Remote Site Access Control.
- 1st Level Assurance Support activities.
- Provide surveillance and first level support .Escalation and Notification of alarms outages to relevant parties.
- Monitor alarms and performance information to identify faults/alarms or degradation.
- Provide initial analysis to localize issues and restore if possible.
- Perform Fault Management by co-coordinating support resources, managing technical escalation to ensure fault is rectified within KPI.
- Running of routines & health checks to determine network status.
- Create and update network trouble tickets.
- Manage Change Management activity on the networks in real time to ensure all activities comply according to process.
- Manage interconnect issues with other carriers.
- To strictly follow Front Office 1st Level Operations Process by Management.

Charging System - Back Office Engineer - KSA

The BO charging system engineer will be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the customers charging systems. Additionally if required, Emergency Support handles and CSR Handling, Disturbance Investigation and troubleshooting. Meet customers’ KPIs. Required skills and activities should include, but not be limited to:

• Experience with Integrating CS 5.0 to an existing Network. added advantage
• Experience with configuring the following Charging System nodes: ECMS, CRS, VXML-IVR, CCN, SDP, AIR/AF, VS, EMM and ERE (AIR/SDP), CCN
• More than 2 years of experience with systems integrations, implementations and interactive designs with Software Systems
• More than 2 years of experience within a technical System Integration Environment
• Good background with Shell Scripting, Solaris10, Oracle10G and Sybase
• Good understanding of Operating Systems (e.g. Solaris) etc.
• Good practical Experience with Charging System 3. CS-5 will be ideal
• Good understanding with CC-API, UCIP, VSIP, RpC, CIP/ss7, CAPV2, SCAPV1/V2, CIP/IP, XML_Web_Services, etc.
• Good analytical ability, problem solving, Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently, while managing customer expectations.
• Ability to evaluate customer requirements and provide solutions with support from other team members.
• Customer focused and results oriented
• Works well under pressure, Attention to details, Fast practical learning.
• Fluent in English

Main Tasks:
• Second level service problem restoration.
• To ensure second level preventive maintenance is being done for all nodes.
• To handle and analyze Trouble Tickets and recommend timely actions and solutions to Trouble Tickets when necessary.
• To handle and execute the Change Request in stipulated time frame.
• Raise CSR towards ELS.
• To ensure new nodes are integrated as per the standardized processes.
• Independently handle upgrade/updates of live nodes.
• Rollout of New Feature as per MOP.
• Interact with Customer’s top level management to understand their requirements and give feasibility for implementation of the same.
• To delegate within the team so as to utilize man power efficiently.
• To identify and ensure that the team members get necessary trainings
• Interface with other organizational entities such as Country Solutions, FO, Projects, FM, MMSI etc.
• Ability to perform under time constrains depending upon the business requirements.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Preferably a BSC degree in Telecommunication Engineering and/or equivalent in any of the following, Computer Science, Degree with an emphasis on Software Engineering.

Experience:
At least five years of experience in O&M of Charging System.

Position Qualifications
• Proven working experience in wireless industry on 4G/LTE networks in O&M environment.
• Expert level understanding of 4G/LTE end-to-end Wireless Network Architecture including Radio Access Network, Optimization etc.
• Advanced level knowledge of E/// RBS 6000 series (6102, 6201, 6301, 6601) and different types of configurations.
• Solid understanding of mobile cellular acquisition and call flows for Voice, SMS and Packet Data Calls
• Experience of installation, commissioning and cable connections of E/// enodeB.
• Oncall support to FM, NPO, FO and TRX during day/night time(as per roster).
• Handling of tickets and issues escalating from FO (FLO) and other stakeholders.
• Customer complaint handling.
• Investigation and analysis of critical technical fault for the LTE RAN network.
• Responsible for KPI reporting and interpretation.
• Incident reporting for outages and faults in LTE RAN network.
• Perform all RAN Assurance related activities, including corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance (health checks), etc.
• Proficient in AMOS/MOSHELL, OSS Common Explorer, XML scripting, BSIM, ONE and Linux.
• Able to transfer knowledge and train other resources of the team.
